Churches have played an important role in the founding
of Fairmont, and they continue to be a strong asset
and influence in our community. The Baptist, Methodist,
Presbyterian, and Church of God demoninations have local
parishes, with active pre-school, youth and community

Organizations
and Clubs:
Fairmont has several strong and active
civic organizations. These organizations are responsible
for sponsoring scout troops, organizing and maintaining
the Little League program and park, litter pickups and
beautification projects, scholarship programs, and charity
drives. They also provide funding for the local volunteer
fire departments and rescue squad, set up blood drives,
and raise monies for the less fortunate. Volunteerism
is a committed way of life for Fairmont citizens.
