Town Manager
The Town of Fairmont is seeking candidates for the position of Town Manager.  Responsibilities include supervision and management of 22 FT and 12 PT employees in administration, law enforcement, recreation and public works.  Budget for FY 2016 is $3 million.  Desired experience includes personnel administration, budgeting and finance, public works, grant writing and administration, code enforcement and economic development.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills also desired.
Qualifications include a BA/BS in Public Administration, Business, Finance or related field with at least five years’ experience in local government management.  Prefer Masters in PA.  Must have a valid NC driver’s license.  Salary DOQ and experience.
Fairmont is a Council – Manager form of government and is overseen by a Mayor and six Commissioners.  The Town is located in Robeson County with a population of 2,651.

Town of Fairmont
Sewer Maintenance Worker
Performs general maintenance, installation and repair of municipal water distribution and sewer collection systems as well as related work as needed.  Also required to be on call after hours and on weekends on rotating basis.  Must be able to obtain CDL license, operate a backhoe and possession of proper state certification for collection and distribution systems is preferred.  Must be willing to attend certification classes after employment.  Apply in person at Town Hall, Second Floor, 421 South Main St., Fairmont.  Deadline for applications is November 30, 2015.  EOE.
