Saturday, April 17 - Fairmont Womanless Pageant sponsored by the Fairmont Farmers Festival Queens. Spaghetti meal 6:00 p.m. Pageant 7:00 p.m. Tickets $10. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life. If you would like to be a contestant, please contact Angie Lovin at 628-6027.

Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24 - Robeson County Relay for Life, Lumberton Senior High School. Starts at 12:00 noon on Friday. The Town of Fairmont is a proud sponsor of Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

Saturday, April 24 - Kids Day, Floyd Strawberry Farm, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 15 - Mayfest, Community Park.

Thursday, May 20 - Fairmont Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Beach Bash, 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Golf Club featuring the beach music of The Holiday Band. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Saturday, May 22 - Rogers' Screen Printing & Sporting Goods Golf Tournament to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 12:00 noon, Fairmont Golf Club. For more information, contact David Rogers at 910-628-1983. (Rain Date: May 29)

The NCDMV has a mobile Driver's License unit that comes to Fairmont on the second Tuesday of each month. The operating hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Fairmont Board of Commissioners meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, second floor, Town Hall.

The Fairmont Chamber of Commerce meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Border Belt Museum (Depot) unless otherwise noted in the calendar of events.

The Fairmont Community Watch meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Courtroom.

The Planning Board meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building Council Chambers when necessary.
