Mondays - Chair Aerobics for Seniors, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Heritage Center, $3.00 a class.

Mondays - Line Dancing, 6:00 p.m., Heritage Center.

Wednesdays - Thunder Zone Karate, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Fire Hall, $40 a month.

Thursdays - Line Dancing, Advance Class 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Beginner's Class, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Heritage Center, $3.00 a class. Free for Southeastern Lifestyle Fitness Members.

Tuesdays and Thursdays - The Fairmont Group of Alcoholics Anonymous, 8:00 p.m., Fairmont First Baptist Church. Contact 628-5031 for more information.

Saturday, November 22 - Lumberton Christmas parade, 10:00 a.m.

Saturday, November 22 - Bone Marrow Drive in memory of Kenny Floyd, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Fairmont Masonic Lodge on Gertrude Street. Sponsored by the Fairmont Woman's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Saturday, November 22 - Photos with Santa, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Borderbelt Museum. Discount coupons are available from any Farmers Festival Queen or Angie Lovin. Photos will be taken by Joann Lewis.

Tuesday, November 25 - Fairmont Rotary Club Barbecue Dinner and Auction, 6:00 p.m., Heritage Center. Plates $8. $5 of the $8 goes toward your auction purchase.

Wednesday, November 26 - Schools closed, teacher workday.

Thursday, November 27 - Friday, November 28 - Town offices and schools closed in observance of Thanksgiving.

Saturday, November 29 - Breakfast with Santa, sponsored by the HANDS Junior Civitan Club, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Fairmont Civitan Hut. Tickets are $10.00 for 1 adult and 1 child.  Each child after that is an additional $2.00 each.  If another adult comes that is an additional $5.00. 

Monday, December 1 - Special Town Board meeting to discuss proper board and meeting procedures, 5:00 p.m. Town Hall Council Chambers.

Friday, December 5 - Holiday on Main Twilight Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m., downtown Fairmont followed by tree lighting ceremony in the community park.

Saturday, December 6 - Marietta Christmas Parade, 11:00 a.m.

Saturday, December 6 - Lake View Christmas Parade, 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday, December 9 - North Carolina DMV Mobile Driver's License Unit, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Town Hall parking lot.

Saturday, December 13 - Fairgrove Middle First Annual Jingle Bell Run 5k and 1 mile Fun Walk, 9:00 a.m., Fairmont Community Park. Early Registration $20, Fairgrove Middle Students $10, Race Day Registration $25 and 1 mile Fun Walk (all ages) $5. Race Day Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and includes a santa hat and jingle bells. All proceeds benefit Fairgrove Middle School Athletics. For more information please call 910-536-3137.

Monday, December 22, 2014 to January 2, 2015 - Schools closed for Christmas break.

Wednesday, December 23 to Friday, December 26 - Town offices closed in observance of Christmas.

Thursday, January 1, 2015 - Town office closed in observance of New Year's Day.

Thursday, February 12 - Arts Alive! Robeson County Arts Cruising in Fairmont.

The NCDMV has a mobile Driver's License unit that comes to Fairmont on the second Tuesday, following the first full week, of each month. The operating hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Fairmont Board of Commissioners meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, second floor, Town Hall.

The Planning Board meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building Council Chambers when necessary.

The Hector McLean Public Library is a branch of the Robeson County Public Library system and is open Monday: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., Tuesday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wednesday:
2 p.m. - 6 p.m., Thursday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Friday: 2 p.m. -
6 p.m.
