Friday, October 17 - Puppet Love, Rosenwald Elementary School, 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 17 - First Annual Fairmont Chamber of Commerce - Farmers Festival Golf Tournament, Flag Tree Golf Course, Four Man Captain's Choice, 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. $50 per player. Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19 - "Raid on Ashpole" a Civil War reenactment, is hosted by the Harrington Light Artillery and the North Carolina Artillery Association. The camp opens at 10:00 a.m. to the public and will be located in the Fairmont Community Park. The battle begins at 2:00 p.m. on both days and will be located across the street from the Fairmont Community Park at the canal. For more information, please click here.

Saturday, November 1 - Guiness World Record truck pull and strength demonstration, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. John Brookfield and John Bruney will attempt a two man tractor trailer truck pull over a one mile course just south of town to the medical clinic on Walnut Street. Afterwards they will demonstrate their incredible strenth in the Town Hall parking lot. This is a free event and the public is cordially invited.

Saturday, November 8 - "Red, White & Blue Sidewalk Sale", Downtown Fairmont, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Vendors and Store bargains, food, Dr. Electrode returns for more fun and music. To honor our Veterans there will be a tribute program at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Center. Members of the Army Reserves will participate. Please plan to attend.
