The Town of Fairmont is accepting offers for the following properties. All offers require a deposit of 5% of the offer amount while upset offer procedure takes place. Once an offer is received the town may, if the offer is considered sufficient, adopt a resolution authorizing the upset offer procedure. Once an advertisement for upset offers is published, offerors will be given 10 days to submit upset offers. An upset offer requires offerors to upset original offer amount by at least 10% of the first $1,000 and 5% of the remainder. For example if the original offer was $3,000, the upset offer must be more than 10% of $1,000 plus 5% of $2,000 over the original offer, at least $3,200. The upset offer process continues until no addtional upset offers are received. The board will then decide to accept the highest offer or reject it.
